I’m a professional nail artist, beauty enthusiast, and self-proclaimed “nail perfectionist” with over a decade of experience in the beauty industry. My love for all things nails started when I was a teenager, experimenting with colors, designs, and nail art in my bedroom, completely captivated by the way nail polish could transform a look.
My journey with nails began back in high school. I was the one friends turned to for creative designs, whether it was quirky patterns or classic French tips. I remember one afternoon, I convinced my best friend to let me paint her nails in a wild rainbow design. It wasn’t perfect, but the smile on her face made me realize how powerful the art of nails could be. From that day, I was hooked—I spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, researching the latest trends, and perfecting my own technique.

After high school, I decided to follow my passion and turned it into a full-fledged career. I enrolled in a nail technician program, where I dove deep into the world of nail care, health, and art. I spent years working at different salons, building my craft, attending nail art workshops, and learning from some amazing mentors in the industry. During this time, I discovered that nail art was more than just about making nails look pretty—it was about creating confidence, embracing individuality, and expressing creativity.
But let me tell you, my own nail journey hasn’t always been as flawless as it seems! I’ve had my share of nail disasters, from accidentally staining my nails with dark polish to struggling with weak nails that chipped at the most inconvenient times. Through trial and error, I’ve come to understand the importance of proper care and how each person’s nails are unique, just like the person wearing them.
Vivid Varnish is my way of sharing everything I’ve learned over the years—both as a professional and as someone who just really loves experimenting with nails. When I’m not blogging or working with clients, you’ll likely find me at home with my husband, Jake, and my brother-in-law, Michael, who are both a big part of Vivid Varnish. While I handle the nail art and creative direction, Jake helps with the business side of things, and Michael works on tech and website management. Together, we make sure that Vivid Varnish is always up-to-date and that we’re sharing the best tips, tricks, and trends with you!
When I’m not working, I’m a huge coffee lover, a Netflix enthusiast, and an avid Pinterest scroller for new nail ideas. My weekends often involve trying out new designs, experimenting with different nail products, or catching up with friends and family. Oh, and I’m definitely the go-to person in my family for all things nail-related!
